The Colorado Business Resource Guide is made possible by a collaborative effort between federal and state business assistance agencies and the private sector. As federal and state agency budgets are reduced, this public-private partnership has become the most cost-effective way to produce this tremendous guide.

The Secretary of State is an elected member of the Executive Branch of Colorado’s state government. Elected every four years, the Secretary of State serves as the chief executive of an office that oversees and administers many laws including Colorado’s business and commercial statutes pertaining to profit and nonprofit corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, trade names, secured transactions under the Uniform Commercial Code and miscellaneous liens, Colorado Election Code, Voter Registration Law, Campaign Finance Laws, Lobbyist Regulation, Colorado Charitable Solicitations Act, Bingo and Raffles Laws, and Notaries Public Laws.

The Boulder Small Business Development Center is a part of a statewide network of Small Business Development Centers. Business consultants at the Center have impressive credentials from their varied experiences of owning and operating businesses. The Center offers low cost seminars and classes to help you learn skills in business management, accounting and financial growth, sales and marketing tactics.
